About Hulu

Hulu was founded in 2007 by Bruce Campbell, Peter Chernin, JB Perrette, Michael Lang, Beth Comstock and Jason Kilar, and it launched for public access in the United States on March 12, 2008. It is currently owned by Disney and Comcast with the Walt Disney Company owning a majority stake.

Hulu is an American leading premium streaming service that offers an extensive library of live TV Shows, movies and other original content without any commercials and it has been around for more than a decade. This platform is different from other online streaming services because it allows its users early access to popular series from different networks.

Unfortunately, this platform is available only in the U.S. and Japan but there is an international expansion planned for 2021. Hulu offers subscription plans without add-ons and it is one of the cheaper streaming platforms. In 2018 they gained more than 25 million subscribers between its video on-demand library as well as its live TV service, being one of the top streaming services in the U.S.

Hulu offers to its users around 2500 movies and more than 40000 episodes from thousands of TV Shows. It also creates special home screens for major events such as the World Cup, March Madness or the Olympics and the viewers can choose their favorite games and teams to follow. They also offer the ability to watch content offline and the users can download up to 25 titles and they have 30 days to watch them. Other things you can find on Hulu are: full seasons of hit shows, award-winning original series, cartoons for the kids, Telenovelas and other Spanish shows and Anime too.

Hulu won 8 awards at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards and 2 awards at the 75th Golden Globe Awards, mostly for its original series “The Handmaid's Tale”. It also received a Grammy Award for the best music film.

Anyone can easily access Hulu on their web page or download it on any device from Apple Store or Google Play.
