About Audi

Audi was founded in 1909 by the engineer August Horch and two other manufacturers: DKW and Wanderer, which led to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. It is headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany.

Audi is a German company which produces cars under the Audi brand and it is also a part of the Volkswagen Group. The first Audi rolled out of the Fabric in Zwickau, Germany in July, 1911 and it was named the Type B and Horch.

Audi, along with the well-known German brands BMW and Mercedes-Benz, is among the best-selling luxury automobile brands in the world.

The company uses modern technology for its cars like: the Audi AI which is a driver assist feature; it also produces 100% galvanised cars to prevent corrosion; the aluminium space frame technology which saves weight and improves torsion rigidity compared to a conventional steel frame; white LED technology as daytime running lights; a centralised control interface for its on-board infotainment systems, designed to control all in-car entertainment devices (radio, CD changer, iPod, TV tuner), satellite navigation, heating and ventilation, and other car controls with a screen.

Audi won awards from both national and international juries, from World Car of the Year and Best Cars to the Auto Trophy, the German Design Award and even International Engine of the Year.
