About Google Play (Android Market)
Google Play, formerly known as Android Market is free to use digital distribution service. Designed and operated by Google, an Android-based app store where you will find all the new and old applications out there.
Here you can browse and download any Android software developed using SDK, and published by Google. Additionally, the application serves as a digital media store where you can find music, books, sitcoms, and movies.
Previously Google Play offered hardware devices, which was let go after a separate store took its place. Similarly, it stopped offering news publications and magazines after Google News was revamped in 2018.
Here you will find applications that are free of charge, or available for a certain cost. You can download them directly using your Android device via the Play Store. An all in one store where you will find an endless supply of choices.
Google Play was founded by Larry Page & Sergey Brin in 2008 and is headquartered in California, the United States.
