Instagram is an American, free, online photo-sharing app and social network owned by Facebook Inc. It was founded in San Francisco by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and launched in October 2010 on iOS and in April 2012 on Android.
Instagram is similar to Facebook and Twitter, the users can create a profile and they have a news feed. Overall it is a social networking app that allows sharing photos and videos from a smartphone. The photos posted on instagram will be shown in your profile and other users will be able to see them in their feed if they followed you, and the same way you will be able to see posts from other users if you choose to follow them.
